A refrigerator that is freezing foods can ruin fresh produce and the texture of your other foods stored inside your fridge. Here are some things to do and parts to check in order to fix this chilly problem.
First, check the temperature settings on your refrigerator. The optimal temperature settings should be around 38° to 36° Fahrenheit. If your refrigerator does not display a temperature setting, use a freestanding appliance thermometer to get an accurate reading inside your fridge.
If your refrigerator has numbers for its temperature control settings, try adjusting the settings. Usually, the lower the number on the control, the colder the temperature is set inside the fridge. Try going up one number in the settings to see if that prevents your food from freezing inside your fridge. Allow 24 hours for the changes to take affect inside the refrigerator.
