If the light bulb inside the oven has burned out, replacing it can be very easy with the right part. Find the light bulb for your oven, using your oven’s model number on our website. Only perform this repair on a completely cold oven to avoid the risk of being burned.
WARNING! Before attempting to work on any appliance, make sure that all power (electricity) and utilities (water and gas) have been turned off and/or disconnected on the appliance. Read this before you start any repair.
Open the oven door and look for the light bulb or the lens that covers the light bulb. Remove any racks that might be in the way to allow access to the light bulb.
If there is a lens, remove it access the bulb. The above photo shows a Frigidaire Gas Oven with a light lens held into place by a retaining wire clip. Moving the retaining wire clip to the side and unscrewing the domed light lens will release it and allow access to the light bulb.
Unscrew the old burned-out light bulb by hand and screw in the new one.
Replace the light lens back into place.
